Family Storytime
When: May 25, 2013 - 2:00 PM - 2:30 PMWhere: Chinguacousy Branch (except program room) at Children's AreaFamily Storytime is designed to promote early literacy in an environment that encourages the love of reading and life-long learning. These programs will highlight the 5 early literacy practices that are essential for children to develop in order to learn how to read and write. You will learn songs, fingerplays, and action rhymes, as well as be introduced to wonderful stories. Free of charge. Drop-in. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
Read and Play
When: May 27, 2013 - 9:30 AM - 11:00 AMWhere: Chinguacousy Branch - Program Room only at Program RoomA morning of creative play and storytelling especially for little ones. Held in cooperation with Bramalea-Gore-Malton-Springdale Ontario Early Years Centre. Free of charge. Drop in. Homework Busters
When: May 27, 2013 - 4:00 PM - 8:00 PMWhere: Cyril Clark BranchIn partnership with Sheridan College, we are pleased to offer a free homework help program for children in Grades 1 to 6. A Sheridan College student will be available to assist with simple homework questions. Homework Busters is available at all permanent locations. Please register in advance by phoning (905) 793-4636.
