On April 27th, Premier Ford announced the provincial government’s reopening framework for Ontario, including guidelines for businesses, broken down into three stages. On May 14th, the province announced that it will begin Stage 1 on its path to recovery, which allows for some easing of restrictions, including curbside pickup for public libraries.
Brampton Library is following the guidelines provided by the Province of Ontario, while working in close consultation with the City of Brampton, in developing our phased approach to re-opening our branches. Ensuring the health and safety of residents and staff remains our top priority.
Although we are not able to offer curbside pickup service on May 19th, we are working to resume services as quickly as is safely possible. Please stay tuned as we outline the phases of our reopening plans here and on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Thank you for your patience through this challenging time.
- If you have borrowed library materials, please do not return them to our drop boxes until we reopen, overdue fines will not be charged on these items
- Our ‘holds’ service is not currently available. It will resume when we reopen
We can’t wait to welcome you back as soon as we can, safely.
