How do I suggest a purchase?
Brampton Library welcomes recommendations from our customers for titles we do not already have in our collection. Please check our catalogue here before submitting your request.
We do not consider requests for items not yet published or released, and we usually do not purchase titles more than two years old. For older, specialized or out-of-print material please submit as an Interlibrary Loans request instead.
For authors wishing to have their works considered for a possible addition to the collection, please refer to "How do I as an author get my book added to the Library's collection?"
For eBook and eAudiobook requests, please submit your suggestion through cloudLibrary™. In the cloudLibrary™ desktop or mobile app select the ‘Suggestions for Library’ view under ‘Filters’, search for your title, and click on the ‘Suggest to Library’ button.

All requests are evaluated according the Library's Collection Management Policy, customer demand, and budget. We regret that we are unable to order every item requested and that the volume of requests prevent us from responding individually and placing holds. If we choose to buy the title it will appear in the catalogue for you to place a hold via the Library's website.
Fill out as much information as possible. Submit the same suggestion only once. Please note that for purchased titles, orders can take up to six months to be filled.
