A Human Library is not built from bricks and mortar, it is the interchange of knowledgeable people and program participants. Where people who share their life experiences with people, or readers, join to learn about them.

At Brampton Library's "Human Library: A Career Experience," readers will have the opportunity to engage with various non-traditional and unique professionals, or books, to learn about their career journey, the challenges they have faced and the rewards they have earned. By conversing with Human Library books, readers will gain a deeper understanding of selected careers and assess their own interest in them.

Our speakers come from all walks of life and have interesting stories to share. Please join us to benefit from their knowledge!

Priya Malhotra, (Artist), Priya Malhotra Art

Priya Malhotra, (Artist), Priya Malhotra Art

Priya Malhotra says art is her life. Growing up, she loved creating art in her spare time. However, she was never encouraged to explore her artistic talents. As an adult, she worked in the travel industry for many years. After she married and welcomed her children, she became a full-time mother during the formative years of her children’s lives.

When she was ready to re-enter the workforce, she could no longer ignore her artistic yearnings and saw this as an opportunity waiting to be explored. This led to the creation of ‘Your Art City’. With time her art got recognized and she evolved her brand. She realized that she wanted her art to represent her—as an artist! This was the genesis of Priya Malhotra Art.

Priya Malhotra’s favourite book is Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach.
