Happy National Youth Week! This week celebrates youth and their active participation in our community. We invite you to celebrate with these Brampton Library presentations:
1. Register to attend our special youth debate on rural vs. urban sustainability, in partnership with the Community Climate Council. The dynamic discussion begins on Tuesday, May 4 at 6:00 pm
2. Be inspired by Faaria Naz, a former Brampton Library youth volunteer attending OCAD University, as she shares her booklet Dear Younger Self, a literary tribute to adolescence.
Brampton Library youth volunteers have remained active and connected with each other and their community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Read their reflections in this recent blog post.
And that’s not all! Every month, we are pleased to partner with the Brampton Guardian and Desi News to share book reviews written by Brampton Library youth volunteers. Check out Ashnii Gandhiram’s review of Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery here and Yasleen Multani’s review of Dracula by Bram Stoker here.
