Our makerspaces are open to everyone during our regular hours of operation, on a drop-in, first, come-first served basis. Please be advised that the makerspaces are unavailable during the last hour of library operations.
Brampton Library makerspaces foster creativity, innovation and exploration in a safe and accessible learning environment, with free access to maker and digital creation tools.
Available Equipment
- Lulzbot Mini (available at Chinguacousy and Springdale only)
- Ultimaker 2+
- PLA and PLA+ filament available
- Maximum print time: 3 hours per day
- Maximum of 1 project per day
- Cricut Maker 3
- Roland GS-24 (Chinguacousy only)
- Assorted colours of permanent adhesive vinyl, or bring your own material to cut
- Maximum of 12x24 inches of adhesive vinyl
- Canon 9000F Mark II Scanner (includes attachments for digitizing photo negatives and slides)
- Elgato Video Capture Device (converts analog video from VHS to a high-quality digital file)
- VHS-C Cassette Adapter
- Limit of two (2) digitizing sessions per week.
- 1-inch and 2.5-inch pinback button makers
- Limit of ten (10) pin-back buttons per person per week
- Bring your own printed material; colour printing is not available
- Create your own design here .

Access Makerspace Equipment
Makerspace equipment may be accessed independently by Brampton Library cardholders aged 14 and up. Children younger than 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult caregiver who is considered the primary user.
Waiver Required
Users must complete a Makerspace Agreement and Waiver (Google Form) annually.
