The door to our Chinguacousy branch near the parking lot is OUT OF SERVICE. Please use the door on the opposite side, near the beach volleyball court and skate park, to enter the Library.

Brampton Library is happy to work with schools and organizations across Brampton! We offer multiple ways to connect with your students and classrooms. These opportunities are designed with your input to fit exactly what you are looking for.

If you would like to request a class visit, Library tour, or tell us about your school or community event, please fill out this form and we will reach out to make the arrangements.

Class visits

Booking a class visit with us lets us come directly to you! During a class visit, one of our Information Services staff will visit your school or classroom, and share information about Brampton Library as well as highlight Library resources. You will be able to work directly with our staff to plan a visit that fits the needs of your class. Many of our class visits include a STEM activity, a demonstration of our digital resources, storytime or literacy activities.

Library tours

Booking a Library tour with us lets us showcase our amazing branch libraries to your class! During a Library tour, students will get a personalized tour of the local branch, which will highlight our amazing collections and resources. You will be able to work directly with our staff to design a tour that fits the needs of your class. Tours may include STEM activities, browsing and borrowing materials, demonstrations of our digital resources, as well as classic library storytimes and activities. Students are encouraged to sign up for a membership or bring their Brampton Library card to check out materials during their visit.

School or community Events

Booking Brampton Library to attend your event lets us share all of our amazing resources with the community! During this type of event, Library staff will provide membership applications, share information about Brampton Library programs, provide demonstrations of our digital resources, and answer any questions that the community may have. You will be able to work directly with our staff to ensure that the materials and resources we share suit the event we are attending.

We encourage all students to complete a Brampton Library Membership application prior to the class visit or Library tour. Membership applications are available in paper format for classroom use. In order to have all Library cards ready to be handed out during the visit or tour, applications must be dropped off to the branch conducting the program at least one week prior to the date of the event. Online student membership applications are available upon request.
