The door to our Chinguacousy branch near the parking lot is OUT OF SERVICE. Please use the door on the opposite side, near the beach volleyball court and skate park, to enter the Library.

Brampton Library's mission is to build an inclusive community by inspiring learning, literacy, and social cohesion. Your generosity, in any amount, will enable us to go above and beyond the services we currently provide. Thank you for choosing to support Brampton Library.

Donate to Bridge the Digital Divide

Together we can “bridge the digital divide”

While the term digital divide was coined nearly 20 years ago, the need to bridge and make technology accessible for all members of our community has never been greater.

Prior to the pandemic, Brampton Library computer workstations and chromebooks were borrowed approximately 8,700 times in a typical week. Residents in large numbers continue to come into our branches on a routine basis to use our Wi-fi.

Brampton Library’s objective is to create equitable opportunities for all, to be innovative and creative, and to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to discover their full potential by fostering literacy, inspiring learning, and building community.

Here’s how you can help!

  • Your campaign donation of any amount supports a new lending program of internet-enabled devices with mobile data access.
  • You will be helping families, youth, and seniors connect virtually for educational, employment, socializing, and other purposes.
  • Every dollar of this campaign will help Brampton Library to buy much-needed technology, such as Chromebooks and Wi-fi hotspots, for borrowing and use in our spaces.

If you want to encourage learning and community engagement for all ages, reduce barriers, and improve the outlook for those who are struggling, complete the form below.

Donate to the South Fletcher’s renovation campaign

Help us build a better branch in the Susan Fennell Sportsplex

While limited in square footage, a renovation supported by your donation can help the Library update this space. Our goals include a full interior design update with improved layouts, additional study space, and priority safe space for area youth. If you enjoy our South Fletcher's facility, make a donation in the form below.

Donate in honour or in memory

A gift made in honour or in memory of a loved one, friend, or colleague is a unique way to celebrate or recognize them. Whatever the occasion, a donation to Brampton Library in someone's name is a special way to show your love or appreciation and support your community at the same time.

You can give a gift online in honour or memory to celebrate:

  • The life of a loved one or the anniversary of their passing
  • Birthdays
  • Weddings
  • Retirements
  • An alternatives to traditional holiday gifts for Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc.

You can choose to send an e-card to the honouree or a family member. You will receive a charitable tax receipt.

Make a leadership or planned gift

Significant leadership gifts have the power to transform our library and elevate the magnitude of service we can provide to our community, all while reflecting your passions and values as a donor.

A leadership gift can be a single gift of $5,000 or more, or even greater impactful gifts pledged over time.
