A zine is a self-published work, circulated among a small group, to express and pursue common ideas and subjects. Explore the creation and use of zines to speak your mind in this unique program.

Known for the creation of zines that challenge cultural stereotypes surrounding food, Illustrator and Multidisciplinary Artist, Meegan Lim, will walk participants through a four week workshop on zine creation.

Register for a session at Chinguacousy branch:

Saturday, March 11     2–4 p.m.

Saturday, March 18     2–4 p.m.

Saturday, April 1         2–4 p.m.

Materials to create a Zine are scattered on a brown wooden desk. Tools include a glue stick, scissors, tape, and paper cut outs from magazines. Some cutouts have text that reads You've come a long way, not long ago vs. future, and allergy. Other cutouts are decorated with artwork, a yellow happy face, and an illustration, of a girl wearing a hat and sunglasses looking in a mirror.
