Brainfuse HelpNow

Brainfuse HelpNow is an online service designed to support students at every stage of learning. HelpNow features a live tutoring service, where instructors trained in the Ontario curriculum are available to help students through virtual chat and an interactive whiteboard. Get feedback on your writing, access lessons on K-12 subjects, find resources for ESL learners, and practice tests for the EQAO, OSSLT, Canadian Citizenship, GED, and more.

Tutors are available to assist you from 2 pm to 11 pm every day. Resources are available in both French and English. 

Cantook Station (formerly Archambault)

Parlez-vous français? Cantook Station is a web-based, mobile-friendly platform that provides access to a large collection of French-language e-nooks. Discover titles from Quebec as well as French translations of English-language titles for all ages and interests. To learn more, check out the startup guides to help you get started on your device. 

Kanopy Kids

Stream movies and TV, including kid-friendly films through the Kanopy Kids portal. Sign in with your library card today and access over 30,000 popular movies, documentaries, indie flicks, world cinema, classic films, and TV series on your computer or mobile device. Note: each Brampton Library cardholder can stream up to ten (10) videos per month with 3-day (72 hour) viewing access for each streamed video.

NoveList K-8

Finding your next great read is easy with NoveList K-8! This helpful resource is designed specifically for younger readers, helping kids find new books and read-alikes to their favourite authors or titles that are just right for their reading level and interests. Parents, teachers, and librarians can also find tools to teach with books and engage young readers.

STEM Village

STEM Village guides students through development paths in science, technology, engineering, and math using fun learning tools, games, and assessments that identify knowledge gaps and direct new learning. This education program is based on the Ontario curriculum and complements hands-on programming and services currently available in Brampton Library branches. No need for checkouts, waitlists, or downloads: TumbleBooks allows you to read and listen to books on-demand. Make reading a fun experience for kids with read-along storybooks that feature adjustable online text and complete audio narration. Children can also access popular, award-winning, and classic favourites in fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novel categories. Available 24/7 and accessible on any desktop or mobile device.


Get instant access to TumbleMath, an online collection of math storybooks designed for K-6 students, and learners of all ages. TumbleMath combines animation, narration, and sound to create engaging stories that effectively teach math concepts. All books come with supplemental materials including lesson plans, instructional videos, educational games, and quizzes to support learning anytime. 

World Book Student

World Book Student is a resource designed for elementary and middle school students. Access all the articles from the print versions of the World Book Encyclopedia, plus thousands of additional articles and multimedia. Students can also benefit from research tools including a citation builder, dictionary, and resource guides.

1000 Books before Kindergarten

Accept the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge to help prepare your child for reading. Share any new or favourite book with your baby, toddler, or older child. The goal is to read 1000 books together before your child enters kindergarten. The program is self-paced and can take anywhere from a few months to a few years depending on how often you read together.  Reading together provides an opportunity for bonding and creating lifelong memories. By reading together you are teaching your child how a book works, growing their vocabulary, and instilling a love of reading.

Early Literacy Calendars

These calendars have an activity every day to develop pre-reading and math skills. The days are organized using the core practices of talk, sing, read, write, play, and counting! On the back of the calendar, you will find tips, book suggestions and song or rhyme lyrics

Story Walks

Brampton Library has partnered with the City of Brampton's community events team to bring you Story Walks. Enjoy, at your convenience, great stories selected by library staff along the paths of some of Brampton's most beautiful parks. We look forward to sharing our Story Walks with you!

Virtual Storytime

Storytime is one of our most-loved programs. While we can't share storytime in person right now, we are so excited to bring the fun and learning from our home to yours via our new online program, Virtual Storytime!

Watch as we share songs, rhymes and stories, and join in with us from home! A new Virtual Storytime will be posted every Tuesday morning at 10:30 am.

Canada’s bilingual encyclopedia providing coverage of Canada's people, places, events and things. Discover articles and multimedia items including images, maps, games, audio and video. Explore new features including curated content exhibits, interactive timelines, and a learning centre with classroom resources, quizzes and themed study guides.


CK-12 is a website with free learning resources for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 as well as parents, teachers, and schools. Discover learning modules and flexible textbooks for science, technology, engineering, math, history, and English.

DK Find Out!

DK Find Out! Is an interactive website designed for children to learn about dinosaurs, space, animals, and nature. Fun learning activities for kids with videos, quizzes, and galleries.

TVO Mathify 

Provides seamless school-to-home math learning with an interactive classroom tool and live, one-on-one online tutoring to foster understanding of foundational math concepts and build overall confidence in math for grades 7-10.

TVO mPower

Free creative online games that support the development of foundational K-6 math and STEM skills.
