Brainfuse HelpNow

Brainfuse HelpNow is an online service designed to support students at every stage of learning. HelpNow features a live tutoring service, where instructors trained in the Ontario curriculum are available to help students through virtual chat and an interactive whiteboard. Get feedback on your writing, access lessons on K-12 subjects, find resources for ESL learners, and practice tests for the EQAO, OSSLT, Canadian Citizenship, GED, and more.

Tutors are available to assist you from 2 pm to 11 pm every day. Resources are available in both French and English. 

Kanopy Kids

Stream movies and TV, including kid-friendly films through the Kanopy Kids portal. Sign in with your library card today and access over 30,000 popular movies, documentaries, indie flicks, world cinema, classic films, and TV series on your computer or mobile device. Note: each Brampton Library cardholder can stream up to ten (10) videos per month with 3-day (72 hour) viewing access for each streamed video.

Finding your next great read is easy with NoveList K-8! This helpful resource is designed specifically for younger readers, helping kids find new books and read-alikes to their favourite authors or titles that are just right for their reading level and interests. An online collection of books for preschoolers, elementary school children, and their families. No need for checkouts, waitlists, or downloads: TumbleBooks allows you to read and listen to books on-demand. Make reading a fun experience for kids with read-along storybooks that feature adjustable online text and complete audio narration. Children can also access popular, award-winning, and classic favourites in fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novel categories. Available 24/7 and accessible on any desktop or mobile device.

TumbleMath

Get instant access to TumbleMath, an online collection of math storybooks designed for K-6 students, and learners of all ages. TumbleMath combines animation, narration, and sound to create engaging stories that effectively teach math concepts. All books come with supplemental materials including lesson plans, instructional videos, educational games, and quizzes to support learning anytime. 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Accept the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge to help prepare your child for reading. Share any new or favourite book with your baby, toddler, or older child. The goal is to read 1000 books together before your child enters kindergarten. The program is self-paced and can take anywhere from a few months to a few years depending on how often you read together.  Reading together provides an opportunity for bonding and creating lifelong memories. By reading together you are teaching your child how a book works, growing their vocabulary, and instilling a love of reading.

DK Find Out!

DK Find Out! Is an interactive website designed for children to learn about dinosaurs, space, animals, and nature. Fun learning activities for kids with videos, quizzes, and galleries.

TVO Learn

TVO Learn is a free online resource, designed to help you support your child’s learning in Mathematics, Language, Sciences and Technology, Social Studies and more. Get free and instant access to engaging lessons and activities that can supplement learning at school, online, or at home. This resource is curated by TVO’s Ontario-certified teachers to support the Grade 1-12 Ontario curriculum and is approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education. 

TVO Mathify 

TVO Mathify is a free online math tutoring service, available to students enrolled in Ontario’s publicly funded English-language schools. Students in grades 6-11 are connected one-on-one with Ontario certified math teachers, and work through math problems using an interactive whiteboard in the online classroom. TVO mPower
