Adjustable workstations

Adjustable workstations allow for height modifications not normally possible with a standard desk to provide specialized seating arrangements.

BrowseAloud Plus

This web-based program reads website content out loud in a natural and engaging human voice. Whether you are using a Smartphone, Tablet, PC or Mac, BrowseAloud Plus will provide the speech and reading support tools you require.


Access the BrowseAloud Icon that appears on the top right of this website to launch the BrowseAloud Plus toolbar, then simply click any text to hear it read aloud.


DAISY Reader Kit: VictorReader Stratus12M

This VictorReader supports books in DAISY audio, DAISY text, and MP3 format on CDs, SD cards and USB flash drives. The Stratus12 M model has a 12-key telephone-style pad ideal for highly structured reading navigation such as reference books and textbooks.


Features large and tactile high-contrast keys, a built-in speaker and headphone jack, and self-voicing controls.

The MagnusCards app is a free accessibility tool designed to assist Brampton Library customers needing more personalized, step-by-step guidance to complete everyday library activities by themselves. This app is available for iOS and Android.

Large screen monitors allow every element on screen to appear larger, and enable better zoom capability when using assistive software such as ZoomText.

This keyboard is designed with large bold typeface keys, making them easier to see. Benefiting various kinds of disabilities, the large print keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience for users.

Magnifying sheet lens

A magnifying sheet lens is a low vision aid used to enlarge print and other visual elements on reading materials. This magnifying tool is lightweight and has a thin lens large enough to cover an entire page of material.

Walkers

A walker is a tool designed for persons with disabilities or older adults who need support to maintain balance or stability while walking.

ZoomText is a fully integrated magnification and reading program tailored for low-vision users. Zoomtext enlarges and enhances everything on your computer screen, echoes your typing and essential program activity, and automatically reads documents, web pages, email, and more.
